Taza (c. 1843 – 26 September 1876) 

Taza was the son of Apache Chief, Cochise and was the older full brother of Naiche (Natchez). Taza succeeded his father Cochise as chief of the Chiricahuas when the latter died in 1874. A key war leader during the Apache Wars, known for his fierce resistance to both Mexican and American encroachment into native land.
