General William Tecumseh Sherman (1820 - 1891) - American Solider


General in the Union Army during the American Civil War. He is known as the first modern general. A graduate of the United States Military Academy at West Point, he is known for his command of military strategy. He has been criticized for the scorched earth policy that he used against the Confederate States.
